J.B. Holmes has strong final round to win Genesis Open

PACIFIC PALISADES — J.B Holmes is one of the longest drivers on the PGA Tour, but it was two long par putts that helped him hold off 54-hole leader Justin Thomas by one shot to win the 2019 Genesis Open title.
Holmes was a shot behind Thomas when he holed a 12-foot par putt on the par-4 13th hole, bringing a fist pump from Holmes in the process. Holmes then watched Thomas four-putt from 57 feet, turning his one-shot deficit into a one-shot lead.
