It’s good news, bad news for 5 Freeway commuters

There’s good news and bad news for commuters dealing with the 5 Freeway in Norwalk and Santa Fe Springs.
The intersection of Orr and Day Road and Florence Avenue is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Another closure started Sunday. Caltrans is closing the 5 Freeway from the 605 Freeway to Norwalk Boulevard nightly through Thursday, beginning at 11 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m.
Crews will be working on the Florence Avenue bridge footings. All work will be completed by 5 a.m.
