Irvine offers free coronavirus tests to people who live or work in the city

Partnering with two health labs and a company that provides a medical scheduling and communications platform, Irvine launched a coronavirus testing site at the Great Park on Monday, July 13.
For at least the next month, drive-through tests are available by appointment to anyone who lives or works in the city, whether or not they have symptoms of COVID-19. For those who have health insurance, the cost will be billed to the insurer; the city is picking up the tab for uninsured people.
