In Half Moon Bay, weighing ‘The Great Pumpkin’

In the dark, cool, early morning hours before sunrise, pickup trucks began arriving, quietly parking their trailers in front of homes just off Main Street in downtown Half Moon Bay. Some had traveled for many hours and hundreds of miles pulling the precious cargo from their gardens; giant pumpkins, for the 44th World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off.
