Improved 91 freeway lanes reopen

A key, six-mile stretch of the 91 freeway between Orange and Los Angeles counties has new general purpose and auxiliary lanes, and widened ramps and bridges. The roadway reopened Thursday morning. The project on that stretch of the 91, which now has four general purpose lanes and a carpool lane, started in May 2013. The carpool lane is striped for continuous access.
