Impatient Shohei Ohtani eager to return to Angels

ANAHEIM — Angels fans frustrated that Shohei Ohtani hasn’t played yet have company.
Ohtani is right there with you.
“I’m pretty impatient to begin with,” Ohtani said through his interpreter on Wednesday. “As I get closer and closer the more impatient I’m getting.”
Ohtani had seven more plate appearances against live pitching on Wednesday afternoon, bringing the total to 32. Manager Brad Ausmus had said Ohtani would need in the neighborhood of 40.
