IHOP executives explain what’s really behind the IHOb name change

IHOP both had news and made news on Monday.
The Glendale-based restaurant chain launched a new line of Steakburgers and publicized it with a headline-grabbing social media campaign.
It hinted that it is changing its name to IHOb by flipping the “P” in its name to a “b,” standing for burgers. IHOP’s original name was International House of Pancakes.
It’s not really rebranding itself, but the campaign made the Steakburgers sizzle.
