Hurtado powers Cypress past Tustin and into position to share Empire title

ANAHEIM – The scenario was set for Cypress’ football team Thursday night.
A victory over Tustin and a Valencia win over Pacifica would give the Centurions sole possession of second place.
Cypress made good on its end by beating Tustin 20-7 at Western High behind Isaac Hurtado’s three-touchdown performance, and Valencia won its game, too.
Now the Centurions (5-3, 3-1) have a chance to play for much more than second place. They are in position to compete for a share of the league
