Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest was a howling good time

South county pooches got in the Halloween spirit during a recent costume contest a the DAWG Adoption Extravaganza in Mission Viejo.
Along with the dressed-up dogs, the Oct. 13 event featured a pet fair, local animal rescue groups, entertainment and a group walk along the Oso Creek Trail.
Several dogs found new homes.
The event benefited the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, which serves the city as well as Aliso Viejo, Laguana Hills, Laguna Niguel and Rancho Santa Margarita.
