How warm will Southern California get today, and how long will trend last?

LOS ANGELES — A warming trend got underway today in the Southland, where temperatures are expected to rise by several degrees.
The higher temperatures are the result of warm gusty winds, which will sweep the region through this morning, and a ridge of high pressure from the Pacific, which will shift to the east later this week, said National Weather Service meteorologist Kathy Hoxsie.
