How USC is preparing for potential doomsday scenario at QB

LOS ANGELES — The past couple of days at practice, USC has been experimenting.
Not with changes to offensive or defensive schemes, or trick plays designed to beat the Washington defense Saturday. Rather, with players like wide receiver Tyler Vaughns playing quarterback.
“Tyler’s a great athlete and he can throw a football, so we’ve given him snaps,” offensive coordinator Graham Harrell said matter-of-factly. “You got to be creative in that situation.”
