Homeowner killed in home invasion robbery

DOWNEY -- A 59-year-old man was killed inside his Downey home Sunday during a home invasion robbery, police said. After a neighbor witnessed two men force their way into a home on the 10300 block of Lesterford Ave., authorities said. During the robbery, a third man reportedly entered the home. Two suspects were caught in the local neighborhood but a third suspect got away.
