Homebuying in Orange County’s midsection edged up 0.4 percent in 2017.
In 23 ZIP codes in central Orange County, CoreLogic data shows sales of 7,886 for all of 2017 vs. 7,857 a year earlier. Sales rose in 12 of the 23 mid-county ZIPs while prices rose in 22 of these communities.
Countywide, the 2017 median was $685,000, up 6.2 percent in a year with 38,351 sales, up 1.3 percent. Geographically, sales in southern Orange County rose 4.7 percent last year; rose 0.6 percent in beach towns; and
