Home, garage sustain significant damage in Placentia fire

PLACENTIA A garage and a neighboring home sustained significant damage in a fire Sunday, Oct. 8, according to authorities.
The blaze was reported around 5:10 p.m. at 940 Gonzalez St., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
A tree caught fire, and the blaze extended to a detached garage and then to the back of a neighboring home.
A car inside the garage was destroyed, and three adults along with four children were displaced from the home, Kurtz said.
