‘Home for the Holidays’ falls short of delivering its full comic potential
Human conflict, and the pain it generates, is the basis for stand-up comedy and for one-man stage shows built on that performance mode. The comedian or the persona he creates reveals his own flaws, or those of others, and we laugh at the clashes that result.
