If you felt the ground tremble under the paradise-fallen-on-hard-times of Lakerdom, that was Lonzo Ball announcing himself Friday night in Phoenix in a game that 200,000 or 300,000 local fans might have watched on TV but millions will claim to have witnessed.
It’s not that Lonzo proved himself. Two games do not a reputation make, great as the second was, just as his bummer of a debut didn’t make him a bust … although, of course, many said it did.
