Ground game gives El Toro extra push to pull away from Aliso Niguel
ALISO VIEJO – No. 14 El Toro showed off its offensive versatility in a 41-24 victory over No. 24 Aliso Niguel on Friday in a Sea View League game.
The Chargers are known mostly for their prolific passing offense, but demonstrated the ability to run the ball and control the clock. Steven Castaneda and Julian Bruce rushed for 95 and 90 yards, respectively, on a combined 26 carries.
“Any time you can run the football it’s a benefit to you,” El Toro coach Mike Mayoral said.
