Capistrano Unified alumna wins prestigious honor
Stanford University student and Aliso Niguel High School alumna, Kathryn Plummer has been named the 89th James E. Sullivan Award winner.
The prestigious award has been presented annually since 1930 by the Amateur Athletic Union to the most outstanding amateur athlete in the United States. The award aims to recognize athletes who demonstrate qualities of leadership, citizenship, character and sportsmanship, both on and off the field.
