Gene Romero was larger than life on two wheels

A memorial service for motorcycle champion Gene Romero, who died last month at the age of 72, is set for June 22
The “Celebration of Gene Romero’s Life” will be held at SoCal Motorcycles, a Triumph dealership located at 515 W. Lambert Road in Brea.
The service will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At noon, there will be an autograph session featuring many racers who competed with Romero including Kenny Roberts, Chuck Pamgren, Ricky Johnson, Sammy Tanner and Bubba Shobert.
