Galaxy’s current reality is bleak, but the future is bright

The Galaxy didn’t have a successful return to play at the MLS is Back Tournament. And taking into account how the season began, the situation is dire.
After five games this season, the Galaxy has just two points and is still winless after going 0-2-1 in Group F play, needing a 90th-minute penalty against Houston in the stage finale Thursday to secure the one point.
If MLS does return, as is expected, the question facing the Galaxy (0-3-2) is will it be playoff contenders or pretenders.
