The Earthquakes captain scored twice Monday night as San Jose routed the deflated Galaxy, 3-2, in a sterling U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal at Avaya Stadium in front of a vocal crowd of 14,560 fans.
Wondolowski, 34, tied Ronald Cerritos with four career Open Cup goals for the most in Quakes’ history.
