Galaxy adds versatile midfielder Aleksandar Katai

The Galaxy continued to restructure its roster with the acquisition of midfielder Aleksandar Katai.
Katai, 28, spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Fire, recording 18 goals and 12 assists.
Katai was acquired by the Fire on loan from Deportivo Alaves in Spain’s La Liga. His contract was raised to Designated Player status last season. He earned a base salary of $1.26 million last season.
