Fullerton voters to decide on banning safe and sane fireworks
Fullerton voters in November will decide whether to ban the sale and use of “safe and sane” fireworks in the city to celebrate Fourth of July.
Some council members and residents said they are tired of fireworks causing havoc in the city, from the cacophony they create to the flames they spark. It was a close 3-2 vote on Tuesday, July 21, to put the question on the ballot.
Others argued the havoc is caused by illegal fireworks such as aerial mortar shells, not the state-approved safe
