Fullerton council to consider increased animal services fees

The City Council will discuss on Tuesday, Dec. 19, reducing the subsidy the city provides for animal care services, a move that would increase the cost of animal licensing fees and other services for residents.
According to staff reports, Fullerton in the 2016-17 fiscal year paid about $1.7 million to county animal control for its services, while collecting only around $635,000 in revenue, mainly from licensing.
