Frumpy Middle-aged Mom: How to make it through the holidays by inventing an invisible friend

For those of you lucky enough to know me, you might guess what’s coming next. Yes, the holidays are upon us,  so it’s time for me to update my annual lecture on how to create an Invisible Friend.
People ask me this all the time, and I’m happy to share my wisdom on the subject. I know some of you are rolling your eyes and saying to yourselves, “Marla, I am no longer 6 years old, so I don’t need Invisible Friends any more. I have a real friend named Asher.”
