Frumpy Middle-aged Mom: Don’t take ‘no’ for an answer – just try it anyway

Last week, I was reminded of how important it is to ignore people who tell you that you can’t do something, and go after it anyway.
This is a lesson you learn early on when you’re a newspaper reporter, because people are always telling you “No” and slamming the door in your face when you’re trying to gather information.
This never stops smarting, no matter how many times it happens, but you learn to just keep on going regardless. But I don’t do daily reporting
