Fresno State hands Long Beach State its 5th loss in 6 games

FRESNO — Long Beach State had little answer for Fresno State’s inside game on Saturday, and the end result was the 49ers’ fifth loss in their last six games.
Noah Blackwell scored 22 points, Nate Grimes added 15 points and 14 rebounds and Fresno State beat Long Beach 92-71 at Fresno’s Save Mart Center.
Bryan Alberts led Long Beach (3-8) with a season-high 20 points, while Temidayo Yussuf added 17 points and six rebounds and Deishuan Booker had 11 points.
