Former Servite star quarterback Turk Schonert dies

Former Servite standout quarterback Turk Schonert, who went on to play at Stanford and in the NFL and become a longtime professional coach, died Thursday, the Cincinnati Bengals announced.
Schonert, 62, reportedly died of a heart attack in South Carolina, the Bengals said.
He played eight seasons during two stints with the Bengals and was a member of two of their Super Bowl teams (1981, 1988). He was a backup to Bengals quarterbacks Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiason.
