Former Rams coach Chuck Knox dies at 86

Chuck Knox, who began and later ended his 22-year NFL head-coaching career as coach of the Rams, died Saturday at the age of 86, the Seattle Seahawks confirmed Sunday.
Knox, who enjoyed much of his success in the NFL by going 54-15-1 and winning five straight NFC West titles as the Rams coach from 1973 to 1977, had been battling dementia and was in hospice care, the Seattle Times reported.
