Foothill baseball erupts for nine runs in sixth inning to defeat El Modena

SANTA ANA – The Foothill baseball team was in control from the first inning in its Crestview League game against El Modena on Thursday at Foothill High School.
But while the Knights were clearly in control, they weren’t quite able to deliver the knockout punch.
Then came the sixth inning.
The Knights, who are ranked No. 23 in Orange County, sent 15 batters to the plate in the inning, capitalizing on a series of El Modena miscues, and scored nine times en route to an 11-0 victory.
