Firefighters work to ‘mop up’ Creek fire as it nears full containment

The Creek fire, which scorched 15,619 acres of land near Sylmar, is 90 percent contained as of Sunday morning.
Full containment may be achieved Monday, according to a Cal Fire update on firefighters’ progress shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday.
