Firefighters put out two small fires near 57 Freeway in Anaheim
Firefighters doused a pair of small brushfires that broke out Sunday afternoon in Anaheim on the right shoulder of the southbound 57 Freeway.
The crew of a single fire engine worked about 40 minutes to put out both fires, said Sean Infante, a dispatcher with the Metro Cities Fire Authority.
Both of the fires were reported at 2:28 p.m., Infante said. The fires were burning in a 20-foot area just north of where South Street crosses over the freeway. By just after 3 p.m., both fires were out.
