Firefighters put out 1,000-acre brush fire at Camp Pendleton
A brush fire that ignited at Camp Pendleton over the weekend and grew to 1,000 acres has been extinguished, officials said Monday.
“All units have been released, and the area is still being patrolled to prevent further breakouts,” Cpl. Lukas Kalinauskas said in an email.
The blaze caused no injuries, evacuations or damage to structures, officials said.
