Firefighters contain San Clemente brush fire

The Orange County Fire Authority contained a brush fire Saturday, Nov. 25 in San Clemente near Avenida Pico and Calle Del Cerro.
The blaze first was reported behind the Gateway Plaza shopping center at about 12:15 p.m. and had burned about an acre when the OCFA arrived. Capt. Steve Concialdi with the OCFA said the fire was growing at a moderate pace, but no homes were ever in danger.
