Fire, possible explosion at Fullerton residential complex leads to school lockdown

Firefighters battled a blaze in a residential complex in Fullerton on Friday afternoon, Sept. 14, where an explosion was reportedly heard, authorities said.
Police said nearby Fern Drive Elementary School was put on lockdown as a precaution until firefighters could find the source of the explosion, in the 700 block of Carhart Avenue.
“The school and its occupants do not appear to be in any immediate danger,” police said.
