Fire chars former Lyndy's Motel in Anaheim

Two Anaheim firefighters check the roof of Lyndy's Motel after putting out the fire at 926 S. Beach Blvd. in Anaheim around 1 p.m. Monday. Two ground floor rooms at Lyndy's Motel, a closed and boarded up two-story motel near the corner of Beach Boulevard and Ball Road caught fire and burned for nearly 20 minutes before firefighters were able to put it out.
