FedEx plane makes emergency LAX landing, pilot injured

LOS ANGELES — A FedEx plane made an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday morning because of a mechanical issue, and one of the two people aboard was injured while getting off the aircraft.
L.A. City firefighters responded to the airport about 3:50 a.m., according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A man was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening leg injury he sustained while exiting the aircraft, Stewart said.
