Famous Dave’s explores opening virtual kitchens just for delivery

A restaurant with no diners sounds like a businessman’s worst nightmare, but some think its a trend that’s waiting to happen, including at least one franchisee for a full-service restaurant chain.
Anand Gala wants to launch what he calls Famous Dave’s first-ever virtual kitchen concept in California, where he already owns 10 full-service locations, including Irvine and Redlands. He is on the Minnesota company’s board of directors.
