Explosion, fire destroy San Clemente home

An early morning fire following reports of an explosion Thursday, Aug. 24 destroyed a San Clemente home and damaged another, firefighters said.
No injuries were reported in the 3 a.m. blaze. It took firefighters about an hour to put out the blaze in the 100 block of Avenida Dolores, according to Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.
The residents of the home are safe but a family dog was loose in the neighborhood, officials reported. The cause of the blaze is under investig
