Expansion Golden Knights have shown character

LOS ANGELES — High-character guys. It’s a phrase often used by executives of major sports franchises when discussing the type of players they like on their teams.
Kings general manager Rob Blake referred to defenseman Dion Phaneuf and forward Nate Thompson in that light when he acquired them in February from Ottawa.
Vegas forward James Neal believes that’s what his team is made of, and that all started with the expansion draft before the Golden Knights’ inaugural season.
