Eric Weddle says Rams’ future is ‘bright’ but probably doesn’t include him

LOS ANGELES — Eric Weddle left the Coliseum field with tears in his eyes as he talked with players on both teams and posed for pictures, a veteran football warrior knowing the Rams’ victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday this probably was his last battle.
The popular free safety dropped his strongest hints yet that he’s ready to retire, even with one year and $4.25 million left on his contract, after 13 seasons with the San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens and Rams.
