Emmys 2017: Stephen Colbert’s opening song and monologue got political

 
If you watch “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” it should come as no surprise that Colbert’s opening number and monologue got very political, very quickly.
In his opening number, which managed to incorporate the casts of “This Is Us,” “Stranger Things” and even Chance the Rapper, Colbert managed to touch on President Donald Trump, possible Russia spying and other political issues.
