Editor’s Letter: Future predictions leave a lot to be desired

I always learn something when we’re putting together our design and architecture issue, whether it be about the design trends of the moment or past architects’ visions for the future. It always seems to me that design is a reflection of current culture and the quotidian concerns of living comfortably, while the best architecture aims to envision the lives we will grow into.
