Ducks give John Gibson 8-year extension on his wedding day

Saturday was John Gibson’s wedding day. It also was the day he got paid.
The Ducks signed their goaltender to an eight-year contract extension that will pay him an average of $6.4 million per season, keeping him in uniform through the 2026-27 season and removing any possible outside distractions during the upcoming season.
Gibson, 25, could have become a restricted free agent next July 1.
