Ducks draft Swedish center Isac Lundestrom with No. 23 pick in first round

The Ducks, perhaps mindful of their need to replenish centers in the coming years, did the expected Friday and selected Isac Lundestrom out of Sweden with the No. 23 overall pick of the NHL draft.
Lundestrom, 18, is listed at 6-foot, 183 pounds, and also can play left wing. Last year, he appeared in 42 games with Lulea of the Swedish pro league and had six goals and nine assists in 42 games. Lundestrom also was a part of Sweden’s silver-medal-winning team in last year’s World Junior
