Drivers: There are more closures scheduled for the 5 Freeway

The northbound 5 Freeway will be closed nightly Tuesday through Thursday, beginning at 11 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m. the following morning, concluding Friday.
The closure will allow the contractor to pour concrete for the new freeway lanes from the overhead bridge at the railroad tracks half-way to the Florence Avenue bridge. It’s part of the 5 Freeway widening project, which is adding regular and car pool lanes to each side of the freeway between the 605 Freeway and the Orange County line.
