Driver hits roadside freeway light pole in Seal Beach, walks away with minor injuries

A driver escaped major injury after his Mercedes hit a roadside light pole, severing it at the base and causing it to fall onto the roadside of the northbound 405 freeway near the 22 freeway in Seal Beach on Friday night, June 2, authorities said.
The 36-year-old man only suffered minor injuries and refused transport to a local hospital, Orange County Fire Authority Cpt. Larry Kurtz said.
The incident happened about 8 p.m., causing a 90-minute SIG alert and temporarily closing the Seal
