Dodgers will promote prospect Caleb Ferguson to make MLB debut in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH – Two of the three pitchers the Dodgers will start in their series at PNC Park this week will be making their first major-league starts.
With four starting pitchers on the disabled list (Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill, Kenta Maeda and Hyun-Jin Ryu), the Dodgers already promoted one of their top pitching prospects, Dennis Santana, and pitched him Friday in Denver. Santana came on in the second inning of that game but will make his first MLB start Thursday against the Pirates.
