Dodgers’ Walker Buehler goes to DL with microfracture in rib, Caleb Ferguson gets second shot

LOS ANGELES — Another day, another Dodgers starting pitcher goes to the DL.
Right-hander Walker Buehler was placed on the DL on Tuesday (retroactive to his start Friday) after an MRI revealed a microfracture in a rib on his right side. Buehler suffered the injury during the fifth inning of his start against the Colorado Rockies on May 21. A line drive by Trevor Story (clocked at 108 mph off Story’s bat) hit Buehler in the right side.
