Dodgers’ Rich Hill has flexor tendon strain, will be sidelined indefinitely

LOS ANGELES — It wasn’t the worst-case scenario. But it was nearby.
An MRI on Thursday morning revealed a strained flexor tendon in Rich Hill’s pitching arm. Frequently associated with elbow problems that lead to Tommy John surgery, Hill and the Dodgers are optimistic the injury was caught early enough that the veteran left-hander will be able to pitch again this season after weeks of rest and rehab.
